Accountant – Fast-Paced Startup | Scrappy, Driven, and Financially Sharp

Northline Roofing is a rapidly growing startup on a mission to disrupt the roofing industry with high performance, operational excellence, and a modern, scalable brand. We’re currently operating on tight margins, growing fast, and looking for an ambitious and scrappy accountant to help us keep our financial engine running smoothly.

This is not your typical accounting role. We’re looking for someone who can own the numbers, bring clarity to chaos, and help build a world-class financial foundation as we scale from $3M to $10M+ and beyond.

What You’ll Do:

• Take full ownership of QuickBooks Online and maintain accurate weekly books


• Monitor cash flow, job profitability, expenses, and gross margins daily


• Build reporting systems and dashboards that turn data into actionable insights


• Assist in monthly closes, reconciliations, and preparation for tax and audit review


• Partner directly with the CEO to forecast and model future growth


• Clean up and audit legacy data — we’re honest, it needs some work


• Create repeatable, scalable financial systems to support rapid expansion

What We’re Looking For:

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (you’re not googling how-tos — you’re teaching others)


• Strong analytical skills with a sharp attention to detail


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving startup environment


• A scrappy, get-it-done mindset — you find solutions, not problems


• Clear communication skills and the ability to translate numbers into strategy

Bonus Points If You Have:

• A background supporting a company scaling from $3M–$10M+ in revenue


• CPA, Controller, or advanced financial ops experience

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $70,000 – $84,000, depending on experience and capabilities


• Potential for performance-based bonuses as the company scales


• Opportunity to grow into a leadership finance role over time
